Nugatti is one of Norway's most popular sweet spreads, and although it is first and foremost the children's favorite, there are also many adults who like Nugatti.
Nugatti is a sweet spread with hazelnuts, cocoa and milk which was launched in 1969 by Sunda AS. It was factory manager Wilhelm Snartland who first made and launched Nugatti in Norway. Today, Nugatti is produced by Orkla Foods Norway at Tveita in Oslo, where Nugatti has been produced since the 1970s. Every year approx. 7 million cans of Nugatti in Norway and if you calculate a portion size of 15g, you eat approx. 400,000 slices of bread with Nugatti every day in Norway.
In 2012, Nugatti removed palm oil from all its products, as the first player in the market. Following this, several other manufacturers have followed suit, while some competitors still have palm oil in their products. Palm oil was replaced with sunflower oil after many requests from consumers for a Nugatti that could help save the rainforest. The cocoa in all Nugatti products is UTZ certified. This means that cocoa is sustainable and grown in terms of people and the environment.
The exact recipe is secret, but Nugatti today consists mainly of sugar, sunflower oil, hazelnut kernels, milk and cocoa. In order for the product not to separate so that the oil remains on top, a stabilizer based on soy has been added.
Nugatti Original
had its 50th anniversary in 2019, but there are also several other varieties, both with different consistency and taste, as well as reduced sugar and completely without sugar. Today there is a favorite for everyone, with both Nugatti Original, Air, Max, Sweet Salt and Crispy, Nugatti Without and the news from 2020 - the irresistibly good Nugatti Salt Caramel.

Nugatti Max 40% Less Sugar
Now the whole family can enjoy Nugatti with a good conscience. Nugatti Max contains 40% less sugar, but have the same great taste of nut chocolate spread chocolate spread. Nugatti Max is made completely without artificial sweeteners.
